Registration for the 2026 season is officially closed. You may still register for one of division's waitlists, but we cannot guarantee a spot. Most divisions have been on a waitlist for a couple weeks.

• First Child: $210
• Additional Children: $195 each

Key Season Info:

• Participants: Boys and girls, Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
• Practices: Teams start practicing in December and are allowed 1 one-hour practice per week. Practice day/time is determined by the coaches of each team, not the league.
• Games: Games will run from early January to the middle of March. For 4th grade and above, playoffs will tip off in early March. We aim to have 8-10 games, generally one or two per week. Game schedules are not determined until teams are set. Normally younger Boys divisions (2nd grade and below) play on Saturdays and younger Girls divisions play on Sundays. Other divisions will depend upon the number of teams, etc.
• Evaluation Days for ALL players (new & returning): We are making Evaluation Day TWO days Thursday, October 9 OR Wednesday October 15. 5:30pm-8:30pm, each division will have a 1-hour timeslot to be determined) so mark your calendars to bring your child on one of those days. These evaluations are critical to ensuring our teams are as balanced as humanly possible.
• Coaching Volunteers Needed: We need parents to volunteer to coach in each division. There’s a section in the registration to sign up. Our coaches are the backbone of the league, and we deeply appreciate your willingness to help make this season a success.
• Vacation Breaks: We will follow the Hermosa/Manhattan Beach school calendar for vacation breaks.
• More save-the-dates: We'll have our uniform pickup in early December, and team/individual photos will be in early February.
• Friday Night Hoops: Our second annual community night will be Friday, January 9 at Hermosa Valley School. Bring the family for some glow in the dark pickup hoops, watch the older divisions battle in the gym, get some new HBYB merch, and grab dinner outside the gym. Last year was epic and it's only getting awesomer!

• Playoff March Madness!: Our playoff divisions will play a week-long single-elimination tournament that culminates in two Championship evenings in March. Last season we had 4 championship battles that were within 3 points with minutes to go and one absolute bonkers buzzer beater for the ages in Boys 5th Grade. These nights are going to be ELECTRIC!

• Refunds: Up until the time your player is placed on a team, you can request a full refund if the rules around Covid have changed and you decide against playing. But once your child is placed on a team you have committed to the season and full refunds will not be possible.
